Code of Conduct

You’re excited, right?

You’ve heard about the Festival from fellow tech professionals. It’s all you think about, day and night. Right?!

Well, as much as we are THRILLED from that excitement, there are a few ground rules to cover. These rules are in no way meant to control you nor to kill your excitement. They are simply a way to behave in order to make your experience and everyone else’s a BLAST!

The Festival is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices (PHP fans: it’s a safe environment for you too).

We operate by the GOLDEN RULE. Treat everyone like you would like to be treated. Simple?

We will not tolerate any sexual harassment during talks, workshops, panels, hackathon, parties and any other online or offline interactions that take place during the Festival. Attendees violating these rules are subject to expulsion WITHOUT REFUND at the discretion of the organisers.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Advertisement & Recruiting

Unless you are a sponsor, you may not engage in direct advertisement and recruitment activities during the Festival. The sponsors have paid for the right to do just that and it wouldn’t be fair to them if other people went around and did it anyway.

It is okay to talk about your business if the interest is mutual but outright poaching or advertising is strictly forbidden (no, bringing in your flyers is not allowed unless we are OK with it) and will result in your expulsion from the Festival without refund.

Sales people, it’s NOT OK to use this Festival to sell your consulting business or your “solves-everything” product. The attendees do not like it! If you registered to the festival as an attendee, we expect you to behave accordingly. Anyone who breaks these rules is subject to expulsion without refund.

Please shoot a message to [email protected] if you wish to sponsor it.
